Treasury Tuesday

December 13th was a very good day for Etsy treasuries, as I bookmarked quite a few while browsing that day.  I immediately fell in love with this one created by Piabarile, who has an amazing eye for texture (and color, too, as you'll see when you visit her shop or any of her other treasuries).

I was also very pleased to have my Button Up - Lime bracelet featured in this treasury by Hagarae.  She chose to feature the work of those who are in her Etsy "Circle"...a new feature allowing Etsy members to keep up with what's going on with other members who share common interests (yes, even Etsy has jumped on the social networking bandwagon, but in the best way!).

As always, clicking on the image of either treasury will take you directly to its page on Etsy.

One of Kaylee's favorite ways to nap....in her car seat with her pacifier.

Treasury Tuesday

Today's treasury was created by OhMyAmpersand, whose Etsy shop features nature-inspired prints and wood jewelry and art.  Just the spark of cheery brightness needed for a gloomy winter's day.  And I think Kaylee needs a bird from Bubbletime (her nursery is already decorated with a cute little quail from sister shop SeaPinks)!

Linen Love

I absolutely love wearing linen, as anyone who's known me for very long might tell you.  It feels and looks so natural, so breathable, so rumpled and unpretentious and luxurious.  I really want to use it for decorating, too, but haven't so far, although I do have some overly-loved pieces of clothing that could easily be salvaged for a pillow cover or three (and why has that only just now occurred to me?).

I've known for years that linen is a natural fiber, a product of the flax plant, but my curiosity has never gone beyond that knowledge to consider, for instance, what a flax plant even looks like.  Where is it grown?  What is involved in turning it into all that lovely linen?  I was so pleased to find this video shared on Etsy's Facebook page today...a beautiful French short film about the production of linen. It's long, over 15 minutes, but well worth watching, especially if you love linen like I do.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Treasury Tuesday

Wholeheartedly approved by my cats Gracie, Twinkie and Ruby.

Be sure to visit MeekaMew's Etsy shop, where you'll find delightfully silly plushies, greeting cards and vintage Holly Hobbie collectibles.  And be sure to click the treasury image (is that a mouse in your hand?) for a closer look and direct links to all the great items and sellers featured there.  It's the cat's meow!

Ruby Monday? Sure....Tuesdays are taken!

"Sitting on the front porch watching all the world go by..."

"Wait, maybe I don't really want to be out here."

"What fun is this thing if you won't let me have any of the ornaments?"

Treasury Tuesday

Lovely winter blues!

This lovely treasury was created by Alibli, who's on vacation right now, but her shop is well worth bookmarking for future jewelry shopping fun!

Icy winter whites!

This one was preempted last week by the need for pink, but I really appreciate it when HPerl includes one of my pieces in her treasuries!  Besides, she makes lovely treasuries every time, not to mention her wonderful jewelry!

And colorful New Year's fun!

I love the variety of colorful objects in this treasury by LoRiKoop, whose shop is filled with wonderfully wordy pottery!

As always, please click on the image of each treasury to get a better view and a direct link to each item featured.  Happy shopping!
