Another flurry of getting ready

I'm doing another craft show next Saturday, this time in Waxahachie, Texas.  This show is part of a benefit for a three-year-old girl with leukemia.  Please consider spending your Saturday afternoon having fun for a good cause.  Half of my profit will be donated to the Tomarrow for Emma fund.

I've spent most of the proceeds from the last craft show getting ready for this one.  Most of what I bought can be spread out (and depreciated) over a number of shows, including the folding table I picked up today at Lowe's and the super fancy double-flush wire cutters and the titanium soldering picks I ordered from Rio Grande.  I've been using a $6 pair of wire cutters for the last three years....they've got notches on the blades and they definitely don't line up flush, if they ever did.  And would you believe I've been using the same toothpick to apply paste solder for two years?  What I do isn't high tech, but the toothpick is a bit ridiculous.

Most of tomorrow (yikes...today!) and probably a couple of evenings this week will be devoted to getting a few new pieces of jewelry made.  I'm particularly excited to get to work with some vintage Lucite beads which are going into a new bracelet design.  I also ordered some more vintage beads from an Etsy seller in Israel, although I won't have them in time to make anything for the show.  I might have to go buy some more bead storage containers, come to think of it, even though I just bought two sets of the stacking jars I use.

Time to pry Ruby off my left arm (yes, typing is interesting this way) and head to bed so I can get to work in a few hours!
